Like drops of water into a pond, we all create a ripple effect in our community. It is our choice what that impact is and how significant it is. We all have something to contribute, and no matter what it is or how small it may seem, every drop makes a difference.
Being involved in my community is important to me, and since moving to Las Vegas in 2015, I have not been as involved as I'd like to be. I believe there are more women like me who have a desire to be involved, but for whatever reason, don't know where to start, feel their small contribution isn't enough, or struggle to find the time. Women Who Care - Las Vegas provides an opportunity to get involved and have a big impact, and also learn about local charities and other ways to be involved with a minimal time commitment.
The model is simple, but the potential impact is significant. The monetary contributions will provide valuable resources. But there's also valuable knowledge, experience, and awareness to be shared. And the impact will continue to expand. My vision for this organization is to bring together motivated and caring women to improve where we live, work, and play.
I believe in the power of women to serve and improve our community. When we work together, our circle of influence is greater.
